Data method
CryptossInsights treats a market value as a record with a unit, source state, observation time, ingestion time and freshness label.
Owned storage
Public market modules read normalized records from the project database. Asset identity, quote currency, observed value, change interval, supply fields, provider time, ingestion time and status are stored separately.
Two timestamps
The observation timestamp describes when the underlying market was measured. The ingestion timestamp describes when CryptossInsights stored the normalized record. Both are needed to understand recency.
Freshness states
- Current: inside the active freshness threshold.
- Delayed: valid historical observation outside the current threshold.
- Stale: older than the display policy for current context.
- Unavailable: a reviewed value cannot be shown.
Value suppression
When the collection method, storage licence, timestamp or validation rule is incomplete, the interface shows “unavailable” and suppresses the numeric field. It never replaces a missing observation with a new timestamp.
Calculation notes
Market capitalization, volume, supply and percentage change require explicit windows and definitions. Future activation will document pair selection, conversion, venue scope, outlier rules and fallback behavior before values appear.
The asset register is active. Numeric market observations remain unavailable while provider selection and public-display terms are reviewed.
